"We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us"
Bateleur’s Nest is a 1000-hectare bushveld wilderness situated in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Established in 1993, when the Associated Private Nature reserves, in a joint conservation effort with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, lowered their fences creating a 20-million-hectare nature reserve aimed at expanding the migratory routes of their wildlife.
Today, the Greater Kruger National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa and is home to a variety of large and small game including the elusive Big Five. As part of the Greater Kruger National Park, Bateleurs Nest offers endless game viewing opportunities to the wildlife connoisseur. Providing game drives both during the day and at night further enhances the possibility of seeing more varied game species. While the much sought after Big Five are all resident on the reserve, it is important to keep in mind that a sighting of one of these magnificent beasts is not guaranteed and is instead viewed as an exceptional privilege.
